Restore your extrusion performance without buying new. Shri Radhe Krishna Extrusions brings worn screws and barrels back to OEM-grade geometry and surface finish—with fast turnaround, traceable QC, and optional wear-life upgrades (RK Lightning HVOF / ExtruMax).

Barrel Boring (ID Re-Machining)

Typical symptoms

  • Rising melt temperature/pressure to hold rate
  • Output drift, ovality, and wall-thickness variation
  • Start-up scrap, gels/black specks from stagnation

What we deliver

  • Wear mapping & material check: ID profile scan, hardness/steel verification
  • Precision re-machining: ID restored to true, round, stable surface with controlled finish
  • Heat treatment path: Nitrided barrels receive re-nitriding after machining (as required); bimetallics are verified for liner thickness before any cut
  • Matched geometry: We re-size the mating screw OD to the new barrel ID—or, where needed, we can install a tool sleeve to return the ID to original spec so clearances stay correct across all zones.
  • QC pack: Before/after measurements, concentricity/straightness checks, finish reports

Screw Flight / Helix Restoration

Typical symptoms

  • Lower throughput at the same RPM/back-pressure creep
  • Poor mixing/higher energy per kg, more gels
  • Visible flight land wear, nicks, washout—especially on abrasive or filled grades

What we deliver

  • Core evaluation: Straightness, hardness, and crack check; keep the core if sound
  • Build-up & re-profile: Hardfacing on the flight OD, re-machined to nominal profile and clearance
  • Finish & treat: Polishing, heat treatment (as process requires), final grind and inspection
  • Balance & fit: Dynamic runout check and fit verification for your barrel ID

Alloy options

  • Wear-focused, corrosion-focused, or balanced hardfacing—selected to your resin family (PVC, HDPE/PP, PA, PET, ABS, EVA/TPU, filled compounds, recyclate mixes, etc.)

Optional life-extension

  • RK Lightning or ExtruMax coating on the restored screw for 2–3× typical service life in abrasive or corrosive duty

Mirror Polishing (Low-Adhesion Finish)

Best for

  • Adhesive/tacky materials (soft PVC, EVA, TPU), masterbatch, and color changes
  • Situations where geometry is still within spec, but you need faster purging and cleaner melt

What we deliver

  • Ultra-smooth, low-adhesion surface on the screw flights and lands
  • Easier color/material changeover, reduced hang-ups and burn-ins
  • Lower shear hotspots and improved melt cleanliness

Good to know

  • Mirror polishing does not change geometry—ideal as a preventive life-extension step after inspection
